Welcome to Dongguan Yinso Medical Packaging Co.,Ltd.
On the production line of medical device sterile packaging, every procedure is critical to product safety and patient health. People are the most variable factor in this environment—our hands are both the vehicle for operations and a primary source of potential contamination. Therefore, before entering the GMP cleanroom, hand cleaning is not merely a "routine procedure" but a rigorous "purification ritual."
Today, we will break down the most crucial part of this process—the "seven-step handwashing technique" commonly used in cleanrooms. This is not just a series of steps but a science:
Step 1: Palms Together
Wet hands under running water, apply an appropriate amount of hand sanitizer, and rub palms together with fingers closed.

Step 2: Back of Hands
Place one hand over the back of the other, rubbing carefully along the fingers and seams. Alternate hands.

Step 3: Between Fingers
With palms facing each other, interlace fingers and thoroughly clean the spaces between them.

Step 4: Knuckles
Bend fingers into a half-fist, place the knuckles of one hand into the palm of the other, and rotate while rubbing. Alternate hands.

Step 5: Thumbs
Grasp the thumb of one hand with the other and rotate while scrubbing. Repeat with the other thumb.

Step 6: Fingertips
Bring the fingertips of one hand together and place them in the palm of the other hand, rubbing thoroughly to ensure complete cleaning of the fingertips.

Step 7: Wrists
Finally, scrub the wrists and forearms, alternating hands to leave no dead corners.

Each action targets areas prone to harboring dirt and microorganisms. A minimum of 15 seconds of rubbing, combined with running water and specialized disinfectants, ensures true "hand purification."
In addition to these steps, regulations also require:
✅ No visible wounds on the hands of personnel.
✅ Gloves must be worn at all times, with wrists fully covered by sleeves.
✅ In a Class 10,000 cleanroom environment, gloves must be regularly disinfected and replaced, with immediate replacement if damaged.
In the world of medical device sterile packaging, there is no such thing as "close enough" when it comes to handwashing—only "must-follow" procedures. Here, clean hands are not just a matter of discipline but a responsibility to life.
Protecting health starts with every rub and scrub.
